Jayshree Patel | Technical Officer

Jayshree Patel, Technical Officer, joined the Nanosonics team in 2007 as a Lab Assistant. Throughout her 14+ years with the company, she’s been involved with numerous tests and varied research for Nanosonics “I had experience in similar roles before, but I joined Nanosonics because I wanted to challenge myself in finding new solutions and performing novel research.”

In 2007, she was one of about 30 employees, and recalls the collaborative spirit that was pervasive throughout their research. “We had quite a small workspace located in Alexandria (an inner-city suburb of Sydney, Australia). We would all be sharing our findings and work. As a small team, many hats were also being shared day to day. I feel like we started out in a small cubby house and have grown more and more into a large family home.”

Expanding Global Impact through Probe Compatibility

Jayshree has been instrumental in the continual progression and improvement of the Probe Compatibility Program – an achievement of which she’s most proud. “When I started work on the Probe Compatibility Program, we had about 300 approved probes. We are now at well over 1,100 probes! A day-in-the-life for me is primarily probe compatibility testing, residual and life testing studies.”

Her expertise and research contributions have directly contributed to the advances of trophon technology throughout the global market. “When I started in the micro lab, I couldn’t have imagined how significant our testing and work would be. I’m very happy to have been part of the early research which helped the trophon® device to take such large steps. Its global success can be seen with now more than 25,000 units in North America! I am proud of what I am doing, and also being able to contribute to effective medical care around the world.”

The trophon® family includes trophon® EPR and trophon®2, which share the same core technology of ‘sonically activated’ hydrogen peroxide.
